A book I want to read is listed as “checked out” in the catalog. I am happy to wait until it is returned to borrow our copy, but the only option I see is interlibrary loan. Is there any way for me to be informed when the library copy is returned?
An Interlibrary Loan request would likely get the book to you more quickly, but if you’d rather wait until the library’s copy is returned, we can put the item on hold for you. This will prevent the person who has the book from renewing it, and will also notify you when it has been returned. If you would like to do that, please email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
